    This will be my only post about this, period.

    things i noticed that are okay and not a problem..
    DL DVD Writer;
    2nd drive [or partition] with 100 GB drive space;
    1 GB RAM;
    600 W power supply

    things i noticed that could be a potential problem..
    a 64-bit system (could be various driver issues);
    video cards [both] PCI Express type (could be a driver issue - could also be a Turbo Cache issue);
    DFI has a poor reputation for game PCs (lots of problems with lots of games over time);

    can only suggest..
    This is the official release of the v1.2 Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines™ patch by Activision®.
    -> Patch Information & Download
    * This patch will update all languages of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlinesâ„¢ English, French and German.

    Thanks you a Mr. C Krunch, If I could trouble you about that, 64 bit support and Turbo catch, please pass some salt.

    I believe this problem is related to Windows x64 and patch 3. I run an AMD +4800 x64 machine with Windows x64 on an MSI motherboard with SLI GeForce 7800. The sequence goes something like this.

    1. Install ToEE (no patch) into default directory "C:\Program Files (x86)\Atari\Temple of Elemental Evil" - This is the normal place for 32-bit apps to install.
    2. Game loads and runs fine.

    3. Install patch 1 (just for this test)
    4. Game loads and runs fine.

    5. Install Patch 2
    6. Game loads most of the time but sometimes on load it will GPF and sometimes when the app is quit normally it will GPF before quitting.

    7. Install Patch 3
    8. Game attempts to load (screen goes black), but movies are not shown and user it returned to desktop without loading game and without and error message.

    I'd be happy to relate the specs of both the x64 boxes that I've tried it on if needed. At this point I'm likely to run Patch 2 and let Atari know about the problem (they MAY fix it you never know).

    Thanx,

    Kizan

    UPDATE

    On the Atari forums several people mentioned having Bink problems with patch 3. The same problem description was given.

    The solution given was install Patch 1 and 2 then install co8 v4 (this means not installing patch 3).

    Running the Frontend and having it disable intro movies.

    I haven't tried this but will be looking into it soon.
