There's been some concern lately over the re-emergence of 'renegade' (read: difficult to find) mods, large and small, since the 4.0.0 release. You'll recall that this free-ranging mod problem was one we enjoyed prior to the release of 4.0.0, and was in large part why 4.0.0 ever came to be.

While we all love the independant spirit embodied in our wild, untamed, and little-used mods which wander the net from Mt. Vesuvius to the shores of the Black Sea, they are nonetheless usually hidden in a deep darkness, a darkness "darker than a black steer's tookus on a moonless prairie night."1 This unavailability doesn't make for a lot of happy Co8 members.

When I find the time I'll do some research and post all the pertinent mods submitted since 4.0.0 that I can find, but in the meantime, if you've done a mod and dream of it becoming a part of a Co8 release some day, drop a note and post it here. I'll update this first post with all the links as they come in so they will be easy to identify and access.

So unless you want another "Our Installation Situation is a Disaster" thread, let's get to runnin'! ;) :point:

    "Obviously, you're not a golfer".

Might be an idea to keep these in the order in which they need to be applied. Just in case of various overwriting issues.

    Only 10 d/ls on top of Co8 4.0? We've hardly begun.

So do I need to just unzip all of these mods to the ToEE directory or do I need to look up the thread for each of these for the install directions for each mod? I am running 4.0.0 atm and am about to try installing all of these mods in the order listed above by unzipping them all to the ToEE folder...

Heh, I'm only posting this because it just sounds TOO easy to just unzip all of these to the ToEE folder. Just waiting on a response/warning before trying this, thanks. Oh, and this is my first post on this forum, so thanks in advance for all the work you all have put into this. I'm about to revisit this game for the first time since I beat it the first time around at release.

Most files are in the correct folders (Zebedee's isn't), as long as playful npc's 1.3 and then gwythurs fixes are added before the gnoll caravan fix you'll be ok, the other files can be applied at any time.

My two minor changes cannot just be unzipped to ToEE folder. You need to place them in the relevant folders yourself.

Okay, I got all of them downloaded in that order except the first one, it was corrupt and wouldn't unzip. Also, reading the 4.0.0 notes isn't Playful NPCs already in it? I basically put all of the files ending in .dlg into the folder of that name (toee->data->dlg) and am hoping it will all work later tonight once I have time to play some. Thanks for the quick replies.

playful NPCs 1.3 is a little step up from the version that was in Co8 4, and you will NEED it and it HAS to go on first. then the other stuff on after that.

Soooooo, if I installed everything on the list except that first, they won't work?!? I may just reinstall everything ( not on this list) from scratch then... Um, I may just wait on this list until they make it into 4.1.0 or whatever as the install is a little unclear to me. Thanks for the info in that last post. I'll keep monitoring this thread to watch for any new changes etc.
