Never chose the Create Wand feat for my spellcasters as I always have more important/better picks.... Randomly went to the Earth Node first after Hedrack and picked up Jaer and Sargen and had a lightbulb moment. Beat the Guardian and left the Temple and did some random encounter grinding (resting at the Moathouse tower) to level them up a bit and gave Sargen "Create Wand" with my other wizard scribing spells I wanted wands for - for him to memorize. He churned out about a dozen wands before I chose to go back to town to part ways.
