I have the game installed it runs perfectlly but when in moathouse or homlet as of lately its running like 1-3 fps it sometimes doesnt even let me move my characters i checked every bug / fix / advice on the page and it doesnt show anything to do with lag expect wait it out but after waiting almost a hour and its not fixed idk what to do i even tried regoing to maps and that didnt work. Can someone help or am i going to have to go back to a older version?
I just ran into a lag/lock up glitch last night after the Hedrack fight but I think that might have been from having commanded undead with me. Do you have any commanded undead, NPC or animal companions in your party?
Are you running anything in the background at the same time? I've found that to be a problem occassionally. I've also noticed the svchost process sometimes just takes over a processor. It usually takes a restart to fix that.
1. When you go to the other maps, can you move normally? 2. Have you tried with the background programs deactivated?
A few things will help folks help you. 1. What OS are you running? 2. What version of the Modpack are you playing? 3. Where exactly is your party when you experience the very low frame rate?
1: no its low fps alot now some maps yes and some maps no Tutorial and Moathouse (near frogs) and inside inn i can but in alot of others no 2: yeah i even used a prgram that turned EVERYTHING off Windows 7 home premium 8.1 i think it is (current model) and in moathouse finding back entrance near the guards of spam (where you find the guy who takes you to "entrance" to TOEE
I have had good results running the Modpack on Win7 and the areas you mention have not been trouble spots as far as I can remember. I don't doubt what you're saying, it just hasn't been reported as far as I know. I would right click on the task bar and choose open task manager, then click on the applications tab to see if anything is running in the background that your shut down program you mentioned might have missed. The game should not be running when you do this. If there is nothing running in the background I would re-activate the module through the front end loader by clicking on the "re-activate" button on the bottom. It's important not to do anything else on the PC while the activation process is running.
nothing at all was running i even used a prgoram to turn all background stuff off and only other thing running was skype but even the orginal game had skype running with it with ease this is like impossible now
Might be a good idea to change your anti-virus or disable some options there that continously scans the game itself.
Are you using a quick save or a save made during combat? Also, might Windows Defender still be running (I ask just in case using one program didn't shut off everything- something could have been missed)? At this point reactivating the game might be the best solution- that or going back to a save prior to the one that stalls- or are all of your saves suffering the same fate?
