Armario the Cabinet Maker - MW items: I've done some testing, and have come across a peculiar thing. It seems that if I: Exit his shop Pass time outside (at least 1 day 1 hour) Enter through the east door Then the inventory refreshes for the MW armario. Entering through any other door seems to prevent the refresh from occuring. I.e. if you enter through the west door, exit, and re-enter through the east door, there will be no refresh! (you'll have to rest again outside and re-enter through the east door to refresh items) Also tried going upstairs, resting and teleporting outside - also refreshes inventory if you enter through the east door. For the non-MW Armario, I haven't been able to get a refresh, with this method and others. Mother Screng - Doesn't refresh. Tried resting outside, upstairs and also going to a different area and resting a week there.
Interesting (and funny in a sickening kind of way). Ted found that all worldmap location merchants resfresh their inventories properly, but I've found that the opposite does not hold true - some inside merchants refresh properly (namely Nira Melubb in the limited testing I did, although I didn't do any of the door stuff and he has two doors too), most don't. Figures.
I have denoted the ones that I am familiar with: Hommlet Burne - refreshes Calmert Jinnerth (tailor) - refreshes Jakk Borton (leatherworker) - refreshes Nira Melubb (moneychanger) - does not refresh Bing - does not refresh Brother Smyth - refreshes Gremag Rannos Davl Glora Gundigoot (inn) Armario (cabinet maker) - does not refresh Nulb Otis - refreshes Mother Screng Lodriss - does not refresh Skole - does not refresh Ah Fong Verbobonc Gregor (Archer's Eye) Victor (Archer's Eye) Maurice (Silver Consortium) Senshock (Bazaar) - does not refresh Jenna (inn) Ariel (Bazaar) - does not refresh Bella (Bazaar) - does not refresh Cleric Rastes (Church of Pelor) Other Lareth (Tower) Mother (Moathouse) Gnarley Witch A few other things: A) I do not believe that Lodriss or Skole have ever refreshed (for what that is worth) B) While Armario does not refresh presently (he used to), I find that I can sell him stuff until his inventory is packed completely full. Then I can talk to him about the good news of the woodkeeper being able to get good wood again. This leads to Armario changing his inventory to have masterwork items. It takes a day but when you come back, his inventory refreshes to include the new masterwork items. It does it just this one time however and begins to fill back up.
I just used mmonagle's list and updated it to reflect what I know. This is what is known as lazy genius. Always let someone else do the lion's share of the work.
More on Armario: I looked at the MOB files to see what was different: The Armario MOBs seemed similar enough. So I looked at the Inventory Chest MOBs. The only real difference was their X,Y coordinates. So I tried changing the non-MW X,Y to be the same as the MW items X,Y. And voila! Now I get the exact same respawning behavior as with the MW items. I've tried playing around with its location more. I've got it to work on the west-most door once, when I placed the chest in the east hall. Never got the middle door to work. But anyway, why not use Cerulean's respawn script? For instance, with the attached file Armario seems to respawn just fine. If it doesn't work 100%, it's still better than nothing.

lol, so far it's largely different for everybody. There must be some principal at play here that we're entirely unaware of.
Whoops, I was wrong in my list of refreshes. Rannos and Gremag do not refresh. I bought stuff from them today and they haven't refreshed anything, nor will they ever refresh again.
@cezmail, I just wanted to check, you say that Jinnerth the tailor does not refresh his inventory for you? He is the little guy with a crossbow slung over his shoulder that wants to join the militia. I ask because I have never had trouble with his inventory refresh.
So far he has not, but I will admit I go to him very seldom, so it may be that he refreshes after I give up on him and just sell to others so as to cut down my transit time when selling off my junk.
I just verified in my game that Amario does refresh. At the beginning, I bought a masterwork composite longbow and 350 arrows from him. I'm now level 9 and he does have more in stock. I think it just takes a long time for the "non-refreshers" to restock.
Ugh! Unfortunately I have to agree. Very, very strange goings on with this. Doesn't seem to be worth the effort to track down if its not consistent. Jinnerth has refreshed for me on 5.8.1, 5.9.0, and 5.9.1 (I think 5.5.0 too but that has been a while). I strip everything off of all the bad guys and even though clothes do not sell well, I get a ton of it. So I sell to him on pretty much every trip to Hommlet - especially with all the black leather gloves and boots in this game. I am baffled that others are experiencing something else.
