Why are ioun stones named after their color? We can see what color they are. The Belt of Strength isn't named a Gold Belt for a reason: the color is already apparent AND it has no game impact. Strength DOES have a game impact. Every time I play I have to pull up a list of what each color stone does before I purchase or craft one. Why not just name them based on what they do (ioun stone of strength, ioun stone of wisdom, etc.)?
The names follow the official naming so I don't agree with changing them, but you can simply change them yourself. I first tried to change the names in <ToEE>/data/mes/description.mes, but it only changed the names of the items themselves, not the names of the options in the crafting panel. The correct file to change is <ToEE>data/mes/item_creation_names.mes, but it's probably best to change both files (they have exactly the same format anyway). If you change: Code: {12594}{Ioun Stone, Dusty Rose} {12595}{Ioun Stone, Pale Blue} {12596}{Ioun Stone, Scarlet and Red} {12597}{Ioun Stone, Incandescent Blue} {12598}{Ioun Stone, Deep Red} {12599}{Ioun Stone, Pink} {12600}{Ioun Stone, Pink and Green} to Code: {12594}{Ioun Stone of Armor} {12595}{Ioun Stone of Strength} {12596}{Ioun Stone of Intelligence} {12597}{Ioun Stone of Wisdom} {12598}{Ioun Stone of Dexterity} {12599}{Ioun Stone of Constitution} {12600}{Ioun Stone of Charisma} it should give you the names you want.
Thanks! By the way, everyone should use this to at the very least change the scarlet and red - which is supposed to be scarlet and blue.
