Well, several NPCs get grumpy and leave your party if you leave ToEE... But I cannot find a area where I can craft my stuff (for example I just realized my rogue is using a 100% non-magical equipment and thus cannot even hit certain creatures, like drelb)
You must be in a safe resting place to craft, (green tent). Have you tried an Inn? A yellow tent is not good enough. You may be able to craft in Wonilon's hide out, but I have not tried that before.
There are a Inn inside ToEE? Where? And when I went to return Wonillon crossbow to him, his hideout was yellow.
As far as I know there are no "green tent" spots in the temple itself. But most evil NPC's that you can pick up won't mind at all if you go & spend the night in the tower of the moathouse... Don't know if Thrommel & Otis run away though...
Wonnilon's hideout on the 1st temple level is safe to rest, even though the tent is yellow. I have never tried crafting there, but you can rest there.
Didn't you see the inn on each floor of the temple, just for tourists. Of course I didn't mean INSIDE the temple itself.
Ah, I see, you must have misunderstood me. I want to know where I can craft INSIDE ToEE (the temple, not the game).
The spiral staircase accessible from the ground floor of the temple (search for a secret door near the big circular hole in the nave) and from the corridor filled with undead on level 1 is always safe to rest. I'm not sure if it is possible to craft there though as I don't recall ever trying. Otis and Thrommel are actually unusual in being NPCs who will join you and then wish to leave later- they have jobs to do and kingdoms to reclaim. There isn't a way round this other than only leaving the temple environs when they are dead or unconscious, as I recall. I have to say though, if you have Thrommel in your party, you can probably cope without having magical weapons for your rogue for the odd combat- think of it as a learning experience for that character. How would they react if they were your PC in a PnP game?
I just tried crafting at Wonnilon's hideout and the secret staircase. You can rest at both places, but can not craft there.
The Inn of the Welcome Wench, your house in Nulb and/or Verbobonnoc(?) are the only places where you can craft if memory serves correct...
Also, something to keep in mind; When you open the crafting window and you don't get many crafting options just close it and reopen it and voila more appear. I've found I get more crafting options when crafting upstairs at the WW.
Wait, what? You get more crafting options depending on the place where you are? Also different options if you try it more than once? That is weird. I always ended crafting in the middle of the street or other random places where I could craft, I think I never tried to do crafting on the WW upstairs.
