Flay needs a spider

So maybe a paladin should not be doing quests for flay, but I am trying to make the most of the game. In my last post to an old thread, I reported that there were far fewer than 10 spiders to kill. I figured that taking Flay's quest might re-spawn some spiders, alas, I can not seem to finish arachnaphobia nor 8 legged freaks. The queen is dead, and the things that look like spider eggs can not be interacted with.

So one question, how do you capture a spider? Non-lethal damage and put it into inventory? I am wondering if I start a new game and take flay's quest before I take arachnophobia from the board, does removing a spider from the area count as a kill? Any ideas?

This requires some lateral thinking. Handling a dangerous animal is dangerous, after all. How else could you get a spider to him? Hint: you've already discovered the answer, but may have gotten rid of it.

Will making the queen happy satisfy arachnaphobia? I understand if you don't answer.

Realisticly, how many quests can I satisfy before facing big scaly? Third level characters should not be facing a dragon!

I got a quest from her, I am hoping I gain XP for satisfying her, My game does not have enough spiders to solve arachnaphobia, so I am thinking 'laterally'. I am hoping Ted can find out what the problem is though.
