View Full Version : Choosing Feats/Skills for the NPC at levelups Workaround

It *is* possible to control what feats and such the NPC's get at level up.

Here is how:

*note* - do NOT savegame at anypoint during steps 3-7 or it will screw up the memory addresses - they are different every session!

1 - get hold of gamehack or another memory editing program
2 - note the experience of the character who you want to level up
3 - alt tab out of the game, and do your first search for that # of experience
4 - go back into the game, and initiate an encounter or do something that gives/removes experience (resting, go to an area with critters, scribe a scroll that takes experience, etc). Note the new experience point level of the npc
5 - alt tab out, now search for this new # of experience in your game editor.
6 - When you have the adddress, change the value so it is ABOVE the next level up point (the exact expereicce required is in the manual for each level).
7 - *NOW, when you go back to the game via alt-tab, the yellow LEVEL UP button will be lit up, and you can MANUALLY SELECT IT AND LEVEL UP YOUR NPC!!!!'
