Hello once again co8...
once again the curse of the middle east emerges, and the stupid fanatic arabs (perhaps i should state precisely, chiite muslims...) here in lebanon 'declare open war' with their feeble weaponery against the might of israel... of course then israel wanted to get rid of their crap once and for all, but in so doing it, and because the Hisboulah bastards used civilian houses and refuge places as 'spots' to their missile launchers, we (lebanese, but who don't give a damn about 'fighting the devils or taking back the holy lands or whatever...) got litteraly fucked up... the silly fanatic bastards i mentioned have been mauled and are still getting cut off supplies and reinforcments... wich is great
now the fucked up thing is, that my family's house happened to be too close to the borders... we remained their for 3 days, but things were getting messier everyday with the f16 blowing up damned cowards which are deliberatly hiding their rotten amunitiuon in populated houses... so we had to run, and so we did, although it was a damn perilous journey... now we're in a safe place, but the bad news is that we couldn't save anything except ourselves... so far we've lost our appartment in Beirut (the capital), and there our rumors that our house in the countryside was hit too... i hope this isn't true (people always exaggerate) because this house being destroyed means loosing three damned computers on which is stored TOEE and all the modding and basically everything i ever worked with on a pc...
for the time being, to hell with lebanon... i renewed my passports and gathered all travel related important folders, and i'm leaving as soon as oportunity arises... most probably to spain/italy/uk/australia... although the flight capabilities have been seriously hampered with the attacks on the airport... all is left is to sail to Cyprus, then elswhere later...
in any case, if i somehow managed to get the pc that contained Toee and the mod work, or if i was to reinstall toee elswhere and start from scratch, by then i'll have registered a new account here (probably, nickname = 'Raelag' unless i changed my mind...) since it was my brother who has registered 'Icy Edge', not posted for a long while, then has given it me...
to sum this up real quick, i'm back, i'm alive, and i hope none of you experience the tragedy of being forced out of your home, and losing all items and memories of importance that lie there, and facing the imminent risk of loosing your life, esspecially if the catalyst of these events is some crazed fanatic leader who decided to sacrifies everyone else to preserve his pety life and ambition...

Icy Edge.

Hey dude, glad to hear your alive! I was kinda wondering how you were ever since the recent troubles started in the middle east, I hope you haven't lost everything you own though, that'd really suck, but certainly get out of harms way as soon as you can, then sue the government for lost items and damages later ;)

Our petty squabbles & troubles here pale in comparison to what you're facing. May you & yours be guided safely through the remainder of the travails which lie ahead.

Hordes of Lebanese coming here to Oz, one more's not a problem ;)

Just keep in mind, even Bruce Lee couldn't take a Merkava - keep your head down and good luck!

thank you a lot for your support...
for the time being, the good news is that there is a 48 hour cease fire for airstrikes only (better than nothing though), during which should take place negotiations for a permanent cease fire... what sucks though is that a video was shot in the city that is on the immediate border of our town... and believe me, words can barely describe what a decimated waste the land has become... just the environment of destruction and isolation - pale dusty fog all around and pieces of shattered buildings... what is worse is the bodies of the dead people of kana, where 57 people (25 children included) were killed at a time... that was on 1:00 am... when the red cross arrived at 8:00 am, they also shot a video of what they found... under the ravages, the dead bodies have 'dried out' and became so stiff, that even when placed on open ground, they would still retain the original posture they had when originally crushed under the weight of the broken walls...
hopefully though, the negotiations would work and get this place back on it's feet, at least well enough for me to take my leave... in any case if i did find any of my PCs still 'alive' i would plunge in a huge back up frenzy (probably modding frenzy too)... i'll get an extra hard disk or two and copy everything i have there, and then keep them in a backpack, so that i can save information much more effectively... "You never learn how important it is to save what is of importance for you, unless you experience how it would feel like to lose them..."
