Balor's Vorpal Sword

Having played this game many times, I have yet to figure out, pre or post patch attachment, where on earth (Greyhawk) Balor's Vorpal Sword is. I have killed him 5 times, and according to a help book, published by Brady Games, there is supposed to be a Vorpal Sword IN ADDITION to the gem for the Orb of Golden Death. The help book, however, makes no mention of Moradin's Soul Hammer as treasure in the Earth Node, so perhaps it is just an error. I am a little peeved, however, that such a treasure is mentioned and not available.

Anyone else know?

And that, my friend, is the major error for that publication. Anybody who collects Brady Games guides, even just a few, realizes that there is at least one HUGE error in each of their strategy guides (such as them putting Ivysaur's stats for Vaporeon in the Pokemon GS Pokedex guide). I'm assuming that you just found the major one for the Temple of Elemental Evil guide.

If it makes you feel better (worse?), according to the official D&D 3.5 rules, when the Balor explodes upon death, all his weapons and equipment are supposed to be destroyed. Brady games probably erred in that he HAS a vorpal sword, concluding that it would be there when he dies, but that just aint the case.
