View Full Version : Grank's Bandits Encounter leads to CTD

My system keeps crashing once I get to an encounter with Grank's Bandits, in roughly the south-western part of the ice-floes areas that make up the Water Elemental Node. I have ToEE with the latest patch, plus CoE modifications 3.0.4.
Does anyone else have this problem, or know why it happens?

This was addressed somewhere else, u might wanna have a look for it (I can't see it right now).
Basically the problem is a couple of them have potions of super-heroism or something, and there is no such spell (believe it or not!) I think there is a version of templ.dll or whatever it is called that fixes this... other wise, u have to get in there and either kill them all before they get a move, or send your thief in to pick their pockets and nick the potion before they can use it. I think the ones near the bridge have a potion, and the leader himself. Or creep forward and engage them one at a time as they come onto the screen.

Another unconfirmed reply by yours truly (I've never actually done it): I think you use the skill Sleight of Hand on the target, which of course means you're probably gonna want to have some points in the skill first.
