This is not TOEE related but some of the good folks here might find it interesting.
It seems that there are some crazy people out there who are working on a d20/D&D game engine implemented in java. If you are a java programmer guru and you like D&D check
    out the project’s site :
    https://shard.dev.java.net/ and
    http://shard.codecrate.com/

The project’s goal is to provide foundation for games that use the d20 rules and implement those rules properly.

I have not contacted them and I don’t write on behalf of these guys but I think what they do is worth the effort and some support too.

    Thanks,

I think this would be more interesting if the project had been an OpenGL based application using a Java backend for game mechanics.

That said I think Troika did a pretty good job of showing that scriptable game mechanics work well in python, and that python mixes well with the native c, c++ of a given target. So maybe an OpenGL based, python scripted game engine based off of the d20 ruleset, using an easily modifiable graphics base. Now there is the project I would buy into.

thats strange because Atari owns all the rights to D20 games or is just to D&D games?.

They only own the licensing right to D&D. The most recognized d20 game.
