I noticed that my halfling's speed was only 10, when it's supposed to be 20. Is there a known bug for this? I haven't seen anything about it in any other threads. My halfling is not encumbered and is not wearing any armor. There's no reason for speed to be 10. Is there any way to fix this?
We used to read a lot of gripes about speed, many (if not all) related to barbarians. Not so much nowadays.
If those damn Barbarians are only going to go 65 they need to get out of the left lane. OK, that was bad...but many thanks for the work you all have done for this great game.
Okay, so somehow the halfling speed problem fixed itself. Woohoo!! But, now my fighter's speed is 10. Level 8 Female Fighter with 19 strength and only carrying about 60 pounds total, including weapons and armor (Purple Elven Chain). A fighter who can only charge 20 feet Sucks! Any ideas, oh great and wise Co8 Guru's?
happened to my pally too, and then things were back to normal after a certain time maybe it has to do with having failed a save vs Entangle at some point?
Did you change your armor, shield, or inventory? (more weight means slower movement and vicesa-versa)
In Vanilla ToEE, Chain boots, helm and gloves, plate boots, gauntlets and helms had the same movement penalties applied to them as per the armour that they were designed to be worn with... A human fighter in chain mail would move 20', with chain boots 10', and gloves 5' (or something stoopid like that.) but that problem has been fixed for a long old time.
Actually both chicks are wearing leather boots and gloves. Rogue has Boots of Elvenkind and Gloves of Dexterity +2 and Fighter has regular leather boots and gloves and is wearing the blue Elven chain armor. Last night Meleny the druid had 10 speed for about an hour real time but changed back to normal. Again with the chicks. heheoke:
