Ahh, that's great - thank you. I don't suppose there's a way to separate a certain other NPC from her great cleaver the same way? I read elsewhere that she won't leave the party willingly...

Yup, it should work the same, FYI the female bugbears all have masterwork cleavers too.

Doesn't Fruella's cleaver (and Furnok's dagger) have some sort of 'returning' property to prevent you throwing it and having someone else pick it up? Would be nice to see that implemented as a crafting option for other throwable weapons...

Sort of, though that effect was never the intention. Those items are flagged and NO_DROP in the protos.tab meaning those items can't be disgarded or taken by PC's, the Returning 'feature' is really just an unforseen bug.

Could those flags be added to, say, enchanted shuriken or throwing daggers or warhammers to acheive the same effect? I can't say I remember ever throwing Fruella's cleaver, or trying any of the tricks to get hold of it for a PC (so I don't know if it has that property for PCs). It would be nice to have a 'thrown weapon' specialist for some variety, is all...

I don't see why not, open the protos.tab in world builder, set the same flag that is on Fruella's cleaver onto the weapon you want and try it out on... I'm unsure what would happen in the case of shuriken that are magically enchanted, in ToEE they lose their enchantment once thrown, whether making them 'returning' changes that or not I don't know.
